Artificial intelligence will be introduced in mandatory computer science classes for all students at XXX high schools from the 23/24 school year. In order to qualify computer science teachers for this new topic in the classroom, a professional development offer was developed at XXX in cooperation with the State Ministry for Edu- cation. In this experience report, we describe the conditions and challenges as well as the resulting design of the PD offer, which in particular aims to be scalable and to address teachers’ heterogeneous previous knowledge. Furthermore, experiences and results of the first implementations are reported.
